Fix Canon Printer Error

By Sushant Mehta on April 4, 2013

Canon iP4850 printer users have complained of the following problem: the printer is printing only text but not pictures. In other words, when trying to print a document that contains both text and pictures, only the text part is printed.

Canon printer errors can be easy to fix. If you use a Canon iP4850 printer and are being troubled by this particular error, we recommend you try the following steps.

Step 1 – Uninstall and Reinstall the Printer Software

The first thing we recommend you do is uninstall and reinstall the printer software. Once you are through, check the printer again. If the issue persists, try the next step.

Step 2 – Install the Latest Printer Driver

You can update drivers manually or automatically using a specialized tool. The first one, although free, can be time consuming. The other problem with it is that it may not work sometimes as manufacturers often don’t provide drivers for all their devices on their website.

On the other hand, with help of a driver update tool you can update your printer driver with a few clicks of the mouse. With automatic updates, all your computer Drivers will be kept up-to-date so you don’t need to worry about Driver update issues again.

Tips for printing from an iPad

By Sushant Mehta on April 3, 2013

We are often asked the question “how can I print from my iPad?”

If this question interests you too, read on for information on printing from an iPad or iPhone.

If you print directly from your iPhone or iPad, you will require an AirPrint printer to act in the same way a printer server does. Alternatively, you can use some other device that can act the way a printer server does. This could be achieved using a Mac on which AirPrintActivator or Printopia is running. While printing from an iPad or iPhone, ensure that the Mac is powered on (you can also print using a Mac that is powered on, but is in the sleep mode).

Options for Windows are also available. If you use Windows instead of Mac, obviously, you will need to use options other than the ones listed above. Windows users who are printing using an iPad or iPhone are recommended to search the Internet for more information in this regard.

As far as printing directly from a PC is concerned, you only need a compatible printer. To keep your PC printer in top working order, it is necessary to regularly update the device drivers. Updating printer drivers is easy if you use a driver update tool. Such tools not only update outdated drivers, but they also fix and prevent common printer driver errors.
