Facebook Home, a new application from Facebook for Android smartphones, has been downloaded by millions of users since its’ launch. But surprisingly, many users are not very happy with this app, and have rated it poorly on Google Play.

Although the application is currently available for a few smartphones, it has been downloaded more than 500,000 times. This figure is bound to make its’ creators happy. That said, they are not going to be too pleased about the online reviews that it has received. Most online reviewers have reported experiencing some issue or another with the app. Most complaints were about it draining android phone’s battery life, requiring more permission than other applications, removing valuable features included in Android, and using too much data.

If you find Facebook Home is slowing your Android, it is best you remove it. Hopefully, Facebook will soon come with a similar application that is not a burden on a phone’s resources.
