I frequently stop and let someone out of a side street, which I felt was cooperation and courtesy. I was told recently that this is a traffic hazard and I should not give up my "right of way" and allow traffic to enter as this could casue and accident. IS there any truth to this statement? I am a certified defensive driving instructor and want to teach the right information. Please help.
