Traffic Safety Institute: overview


MISSION

To reduce traffic-related accidents and injuries by providing academic traffic safety programming, including instructor training programs and driver safety service programs.

FUNCTIONS

The Traffic Safety Institute is an academic division in the Department of Loss Prevention and Safety at Eastern Kentucky University. It provides undergraduate course work leading to a traffic safety minor, and provides the teaching endorsement program for driver education teachers. Several special interest programs are available and include:

  • Accident Investigation Training
  • Motorcycle Safety Programs
  • Motorcycle Instructor Training
  • All-Terrain Vehicle Safety Training
